Frequently Asked Questions1) Is there a minimum length contract? No - as soon as you decide that you no longer need your site, let us know and stop your payments. 2) What happens if I already have a domain name? You will need to transfer it to our server. If you have a .co.uk domain, there is normally a charge of £10, but if your domain has more than a year's registration left, we will waive that fee. If you have any other type of domain, ring for details of what you will need to do. 3) I have heard that content management systems are not search engine friendly (SEF). Some are, some are not. Ours is. If you want a technical explanation - content management systems create dynamic pages using information stored in a database. To access the data, webpages append a string of information to the end of the page name (e.g. /index2.php?option=com_typedcontent&task=edit&id=33) to access this data, and it is this data that confuses the search engines. The servers of our system have a way of bypassing this, which allows them to be search engine friendly. |
